Cody provides engineering solutions that help clients maximize energy efficiency and minimize operating costs. Utilizing his expertise in HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical engineering, Cody evaluates energy consumption, identifies possible facility improvements, and calculates potential savings to help clients make informed decisions about their facility’s systems. He also helps secure incentives for clients so that they can realize a quicker return on investment and further justify mechanical improvements. 

Additionally, Cody provides valuable project support to the rest of the energy services group along with our larger organization.

Expertise

Cody began his career as an intern with our energy group, where he gained his first hands-on experience in the industry. After graduating, he briefly worked at an engineering consulting firm before returning to EMCOR Services Betlem and becoming quickly immersed in more extensive project work. 

Since joining the team, Cody has managed and completed energy studies, secured incentives from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and local utilities, performed system design work, overseen the implementation of various energy efficiency projects, and more. He has extensive experience working with and analyzing a variety of HVAC systems and has worked with key clients in the commercial, industrial, and manufacturing sectors. 

A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Cody holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He is a Certified Energy Manager and member of the Association of Energy Engineers. To continue his education, Cody has also taken steps to become a Professional Engineer by completing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and obtaining an Engineer in Training certification.

The Personal Side

Outside of work, Cody enjoys spending time with his dog and helps run a local comedy theater. His hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, and mountain biking.
